James O. Wilbanks, President. Mr. Wilbanks has been actively engaged in the oil and gas industry since 1976. He has extensive experience in various phases of the oil and gas industry, including acquisitions and divestitures of producing and undeveloped oil and gas properties, exploration, exploitation, development, land and production operations.
Mr. Wilbanks co-founded Wilbanks Reserve Corporation (formerly Wilbanks Exploration, Inc.), in 1987, and he has been President and CEO of the company since that time. In 1979, Mr. Wilbanks co-founded Wilbanks Resources Corporation, a company that provided land, right-of-way and pipeline engineering design and project management services to clients in the U.S. Mr. Wilbanks served as President and CEO of Wilbanks Resources Corporation until 1987. In 2001, Mr. Wilbanks sold his majority ownership interest in Wilbanks Resources Corporation. Mr. Wilbanks entered the oil and gas industry in 1976 as an independent landman operating in the Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions of the U.S., assembling oil and gas properties and drilling prospects for client companies, as well as for his own account. Prior to entering the oil and gas industry, Mr. Wilbanks served three years active duty in the United States Marine Corps, including service in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged with the rank of captain. After leaving the Marine Corps, Mr. Wilbanks was employed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C., and subsequently became Vice President and Director of the First National Bank, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Mr. Wilbanks received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Oklahoma, and pursued graduate studies in finance and economics at George Washington University.
